Review: Olay Eye Makeup Remover

Hello :)

Olay eye makeup remover - £2.99 / Superdrug

I've tried countless eye makeup removers but, have never found one I've been truly wowed by, until now. Olay is not a brand I've ever really tried before but, as it was half price, I thought I'd give it a go and I'm so glad I did. This is a thick, creamy formula with a very subtle scent. I use a pea sized amount on a cotton wool pad and gently sweep it over my eyelids, there's no need to rub as I've found I've had to with other brands, this just melts the makeup away.  I have quite sore eyes and this has not irritated them at all and has even helped with the dry patches on my eyelids. I've been thoroughly enjoying using this product and it has made removing my makeup a bit less of a chore.

I would highly recommend this product and will definitely not be overlooking Olay anymore.

Review: Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Cream

Hello :)

Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Cream - £2.99 / 475ml

On a recent browse in Superdrug I noticed superdrug's own Vitamin E range. As I was running low on moisturiser I thought I'd give this one a go as a massive 475ml tub was just £2.99! First thing I noticed was the gorgeous subtle scent it has, almost vanilla-ry. It has a nice soft, creamy consistency that sinks into the skin so quickly. I hate being stood there feeling sticking, waiting for creams to soak in, but there is none of that with this and it leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished, without being greasy in the slightest. This has been great for my dry skin and has not irritated my eczema at all.

Overall I'm thoroughly impressed with this moisturiser and cannot wait to try out other products from this range. An absolute bargain for the price.

Makeup Haul

Hello :)

I had a few vouchers for Boots and as the makeup was 3 for 2, I thought it was a perfect excuse to tick a few items off my wishlist. ( Although it ended up being more then a few)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry - £7.49
I have been lusting after this lipstick for so long now. I'm so happy I finally have it in my collection. This is a gorgeous deep burgundy/oxblood shade, perfect for autumn/winter. The texture seems really creamy and moisturising. I can't wait to wear this with my winter woolies. I also really like the simple black and gold packaging.

Collection Gothic Glam Lipstick in Scorned - £2.99
Another autumn/winter shade, this is more of a deep, dark purple colour. It also has a creamy texture and is highly pigmented. I can see this being my go to colour when I'm having a bit of a rock chic day.

No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter - £9.95
When I saw this it immediately went in my basket, as I love everything in cute little stick form. It's a gorgeous champagne colour and is incredibly creamy without being greasy at all. It has just the right amount of shimmer without being too over the top.

No7 Blush Tint Stick in Rosebud - £9.00
When I first saw this cream blush I thought it would be way too dark for my pale skin but, when I swatched this, all I could picture was Snow White. I think this deep rose shade will look amazing with a dark red lip. It glides on nice and smoothly and is great for applying on the go.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Taupe - £3.99
As I've been favouring bold lips recently I've been leaving my eyes quite natural so I thought this would be great for adding a bit of definition whilst keeping all the attention on my lips. It's also really easy to blend and stays put all day.

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil in Dark Blonde - £2.99
This is about my fifth repurchase, it's my absolute favourite brow product. It matches the colour of my brows perfectly and the pencil is very soft and creamy, which I find great to blend to give a really natural look. It also comes with a handy spooly.

Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder - £9.99
A pink hued shimmery powder that you can use just as a highlight or all over to brighten your complexion with a soft glowy finish. It has a twist click opening so it only dispenses powder when you want it to. The packaging is so cute and vintage to celebrate their 150th birthday.

L'Oreal Paris False Lash Flutter Mascara in Midnight Black - £10.99
I was in need of a new mascara but didn't know where to start. There's so many mascara's on the market I'm often overwhelmed when trying to choose one. When I saw a Butterfly inspired mascara, I knew it was the one for me. I chose the colour Midnight Black as I like my lashes to be quite dark and intense.

L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer - £9.99
I've never used a primer before as I very rarely wear foundation but, I thought I'd try some under my powder to see if it gives me a better finish. I didn't really know what to look for in a primer so I went on looks. This offering from L'Oreal looked so pretty I thought it was as good a reason as any to pop it in my basket.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Radiance Shimmer Touch in Radiance Rose - RRP £4.99. Poundland - £1.00
I've been eyeing this up for a while. It's a muted, dusky pink colour with a lightweight mousse formula which leaves you with a touch of colour and a radiant glow.

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Sloane's Plum - RRP £6.49. Poundland - £1.00
I've heard a lot about these lipsticks so when I saw them in Poundland I grabbed one. They only had the one shade but, it looked like a lovely burgundy/purple colour. It's quite sheer but can be built up for a deeper colour, it also feels really moisturising on my lips.

It's definitely worth a rummage through the makeup at Poundland as you can often get a bargain, just like I did with my Rimmel treats.

Hula Hooping

Hello :)

Photo From Google Images

I've been trying to get myself fit and healthy again after a bit of summer indulging, and one of my favourite exercises is hula hooping! It's so easy to do and really fun so it doesn't feel as much of a chore as other exercises can do. You only need to do it for ten minutes a day to see big results, so it's great if you're not keen on the gym and prefer to exercise at home like me. I got my hula hoop from Amazon, they have different sizes depending on your height. I got this small one as I'm slightly on the short side.

It does take a little bit of practice but with time you can hula without even thinking about it and I often do a little session whilst watching Corrie. Weighted hula hoops are best for exercising as it offers resistance for your muscles when using them.  It can also help improve your coordination, and as hula hooping requires a large range of motion for your spine, a lot of practice can increase your flexibility and therefor help in the prevention of back injuries.

I've thoroughly been enjoying hula hooping and have definitely felt an improvement in my overall fitness. When I first started I couldn't even do a minute without it falling to the floor, but now I can do the full ten minutes in one go, so I'm definitely improving.
