Ying Yu Jade Facial Roller

Hello :)

I've seen a few posts about the Ying Yu Jade Facial Roller and am really intrigued by them. It's known as a gym workout for the face and has the amazing healing properties of jade, which is used in chinese medicine to expel toxins. It claims to transform your skin and facial contours, making you look younger from it's deep massaging action, which will aid blood flow, eliminate the dreaded dark under eye circles and plump out wrinkles. You can also keep it in the fridge and use on the forehead when suffering from headaches.

At £25 a pop it's not cheap, but if it lives up to it's claims, I'd say it's worth it.

Review: Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser

Hello :)

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser - £4.99 for 190ml / Boots

'Vaseline® Spray & Go™ Moisturizer is a line of quick, convenient spray lotions that moisturize deeply and absorb in seconds.  The revolutionary continuous-spray system dispenses lotion quickly and evenly for allover coverage.  The unique formula includes Stratys-3™ multi-layer moisture so lotion absorbs into skin with a few quick rubs.  Skin is instantly moisturized, not greasy or sticky.'

I was recently scouring the aisles in Boots for new things to excite me, when I came across this spray moisturiser. Needless to say, it jumped straight into my basket. There are three different versions, aloe fresh ( pure aloe vera ), essential moisture ( pure oat extracts ) and the one I chose, Cocoa radiant ( pure cocoa butter ).

It leaves you with a gorgeously rich, slightly nutty scent. This is great for when you want a quick misting of moisture. Just spray, rub in a little and you're done! I was surprised at just how moisturising this is and it absorbed into the skin really quickly, so there was no standing around, arms stretched out waiting to be able to get dressed and it didn't leave my skin greasy at all. It's nice and handy for when you're out and about as it has a twist-lock button, so no more opening your bag to find the lid flipped open and the contents seeping everywhere ( although your bag would smell amazing ). I took it with me to the beach and applied it after a little dip in the sea, in the hot weather it soaked in immediately and it felt so nice and refreshing spraying it all over.

I'm definitely a fan of this product, its quick, convenient, refreshing and smells amazing. What more could you ask for?

Review: La Roche Possay Effaclar Duo

Hello :)

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo - £10.12 for 40ml / Escentual

After hearing a lot of positive reviews and it becoming a bit of a cult product, I thought it was about time I gave it a go. I wondered if it had been over hyped a bit, but, after nearly finishing my first tube, I can safely say it has become a staple in my skincare regime.

It aims to unclog and purify pores, reduce blemishes and help prevent breakouts. The texture is a light, gel like serum which can be used daily, or as a treatment when suffering from a breakout. I like to use it daily before I apply moisturiser. The cream quickly soaks into your skin leaving it feeling soft and calmed. I've noticed a big improvement in my overall complexion. My pores have visibly decreased in size. My skin is smoother, clearer, free of little under the skin blemishes and a lot less blotchy.

I will definitely be repurchasing and I think it may be on it's way to joining my holy grail products.

Review: Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser

Hello :)

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser - £3.56 for 250ml or £5.10 for 400ml / Boots

I have suffered from bad eczema since I was very young which has left me with really dry, sensitive skin that is always thirsty for moisturising. My normal routine consists of using body oil and body butter. It can be a bit time consuming, but if I missed any of it out I would have tight, dry, flaky skin which isn't very nice. So, when I saw this I had to give it a go to see if it would make my moisturising routine that little bit easier.

After using my normal body cleanser I slathered this thick milky lotion on, and left it for a minute or so, then rinsed it off. It had the usual Nivea scent which I quite like. When I got out the bath my skin felt a lot softer then usual and not itchy, which my skin often is between getting out of the bath and moisturising.

Overall I was really impressed with this product. I'll definitely keep on using this and repurchase the bigger 400ml size.

Review: Soap And Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

Hello :)

Soap And Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub - £8.00 / Boots

This is one of my must have products. I've tried and loved quite a few of Soap And Glory's body scrubs, but this is by far my favourite.

As soon as you unscrew the lid, the sweet, refreshing scent hits you. Brown sugar, lime, macadamia grains and one of my favourite ingredients, almond oil, all contribute to this signature scent. I use a couple of scoops twice a week or more if my skin is particularly dry. It's very thick and grainy in texture, but not too much where it becomes harsh on the skin. After I've rinsed it off, I'm left with lovely, soft skin. I have quite sensitive skin but this is very gentle and leaves my skin exfoliated and moisturised. Boots often do 3 for 2 on Soap And Glory products, so I always use it as an excuse to stock up on this much loved scrub.

Have you tried this scrub or do you have a different favourite that I should know about?

Sweet Rain

Hello :)

My new iPhone 5 case came today! It's so pretty I had to share it with you. I got it from an Etsy shop called Naughty Peach, which has loads of really nice designs. It took me a while to choose which one to get. This design, called sweet rain came in plastic or rubber. I chose rubber as I find the plastic cases can scratch your phone a bit. The seller is from America so I was impressed when it turned up just after a week of ordering.

Review: Anatomicals Rose And Jasmine Body Cleanser

Hello :)

Anatomicals Rose And Jasmine Body Cleanser - £3.00 for 300ml / Asos

This is the first Anatomicals product I've tried and I have to say, I really do like it.

This has a nice strong rose scent with a hint of jasmine. I find you need quite a bit of the product to get a good lather, but, I don't mind using a bit more as it leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, and doesn't dry my skin out at all. This body cleanser also comes in tube form but, I much prefer the pump as it looks so pretty on my bathroom shelf, and their fun slogans make for a little bathtime reading too.

I'm looking forward to trying out more from Anatomicals, and already have my eye on the Java Lather Coffee Body Cleanser and the Could We Be Any More Pacific Marine Bath Foam.

Have you tried anything from Anatomicals?
